Referent Company
Description
If you want to keep one or more companies to replace multiple companies from different sources, you can use the concept of a referent company.
A referent company will take the place of the "specific" company you set.
In this way, it is possible in the GTFS export to export the data with the referent companies and not the original ones.
Procedure - Workgroup
It is up to the workgroup owner to create the referent company that will be used by the data producers in workbenches.
To do this, go to the Line Referential and then Companies:
By clicking on "add a transporter" you will access the company creation form.
You fill in the information of your company by specifying that it is a Referent:
Procedure - Data Producer in workbench
It is up to the data producer who owns the lines to associate his companies with a referent company created by the workgroup owner.
To do this, go to the Lines referential and then to Companies. In the list of companies, click on Edit this company:
Then, in the Referent section, you indicate the referent company that the workgroup owner has created:
When you validate, you are redirected to the page of your company and you can see the referent company to which it is associated:
GTFS export with referent companies
Once both procedures are done, you can now do a GTFS export with the referent companies.
When setting up your export, you must select Prefer Referent Companies :
So, in your export, you will find the referent companies instead of the initial companies if they have been associated.
Automatic publication with referent companies :
When setting up an automatic publication, you can also choose to use the referent companies.
All you have to do is to select "Prefer Referent Companies" in the publication's settings.
If the published offer contains a company associated with a referent, the publication will produce a GTFS export containing only the referent company in question.
