Routing Constraint Zone
Description
A Routing Constraint Zone (RCZ) is a prohibition made to a road service to take or to leave the same passenger inside a perimeter of urban transports.
Managing RCZs
An RCZ can be configured :
At the line level. More explications here: Line Referential | Line routing constraint zones
At the route level in a dataset.
In each line, you have the possibility to define the restrictions of a Routing constraint zone (RCZ) , associated to a Route.
The RCZ, defined at the route level in a dataset, will be applied only to a given route in a dataset and only to this route’s periods.
You can access the RCZ list from the Line page of your dataset.
When you add a RCZ, you need to mark the stops that you wish to include in your prohibition.
RCZ must have at least two stop areas
You can have Chouette automatically create the equivalent RCZ for the opposite route. The action "Create Return Zone" is available in the action menu of RCZ.
To create a “return” RCZ, the route of the consulted RCZ must :
have a defined return route
the return route passes through the stops of the RCZ consulted
In this case, the “return” RCZ created:
is associated with the return route
includes the same stops as the original RCZ, but in the order of the return route
If the return route loops over one or more RCZ stops, the order of the first passage is used.
The action is only offered if the conditions for creation are satisfied.
