Shapes
Description
Shapes represent the paths covered by the vehicle on a route.
Consult the shapes
You can consult the list of existing shapes in the "Topological Referential" of each Workgroup.
For each shape, ID and Name are displayed.
Shapes can be filtered by ID or Name.
You can open a shape's page by clicking on its name.
Managing shapes
For each Shape the star wheel of every line allows to launch the accessible actions (see, edit, remove).
“See" option opens a shape page. "Edit" allows you to modify the shape’s name.
A shape can be imported into Chouette using a file, or created manually in Chouette interface.
In the case of import, shape data will be automatically integrated into the Topological Referential.
If you wish to create a shape manually, you can do it by editing the appropriate journey pattern.
The star wheel of the journey pattern display the allowed actions for the shape.
By clicking on "Create a shape" a new window will open, suggesting a shape drawn on the map with the list of journey pattern stops.
You can define the shape name, if necessary, modify the path on the map by manipulating the red line.
After validation, the shape is saved in the Topological Referential and associated to the journey pattern. When consulting the journey pattern, the associated shape is indicated by the red line on the map.
You can modify the shape or disassociate it from the list of actions available on the journey pattern.
If the journey pattern does not have a shape, you can click on “Edit” to choose a shape from the topological referential list.
After validation, the selected shape will be associated with the journey pattern.
A shape can be associated with several journey patterns.
Points of interest
Description

You can consult your Points of Interest in the Topological Referential.
Managing points of interest
For each point of interest, Name, category and last update, are displayed.
For each point of interest the star wheel of every line allows to launch the accessible actions (show, edit, delete).
The “Show” option opens the Point of Interest page. “Edit” allows you to modify the Point of Interest.
